Backcountry Skiing Journal From:

Earnsturns: December 4, 2010 Uphill: 3,000 ft. | Downhill: 3,000 ft.

Skied east and west facing slopes around 9000/8500 feet which was inconsistent with dry powder one turn then a slight crust on the next. It was an overcast day with mild winds although recent snow fall came with wind from SW which loaded snow on the leeward side. Stability seems to be improving a little, however there is still considerable avalanche danger and the pits that we have dug may not be completely reliable because there is still less than 100cm of snow.
