Warpigsinfin: December 23, 2010 Uphill: 3,000 ft. | Downhill: 3,000 ft.
Best turns of the season? Close enough. Jackson Hole has been getting hammered all December and last night was no exception.Old tracks were obliterated completely above 9000' and overlookable below. SW winds at 25-35 mph while it fell made for moderate windloading and DEEP pockets.
Sun came out right in time for our second run. Little rocks up high are safely droppable as coverage gets better and better.
That sun's got some heat today so expect sun-affected aspects tomorrow. I'll be looking for blower N facing shots.
Avalanches:
8 inch type 2 Skier Triggered at 7500' on E face of Maverick (GTNP).
6 inch type 1 on S face of Glory just above the Teton Pass road cut.
Assorted bombed stuff at JHMR.
