Backcountry Skiing Journal From:

Darkstar: December 22, 2010 Uphill: 1,000 ft. | Downhill: 1,000 ft.

Lots of backlogging to do on the powder journal. Many good turns over the past week, including today's random adventure to the waters of Emerald Bay. The dogs even went swimming!

The Alpen Glow crew maintained their shred on the West Shore almost the whole way through the crazy storms we've had for the past week+. I skied several inbounds days, with a few beauties at Squaw. A little hiking, but not as much as normal.

The snowpack has been all over the place. Pretty warm and manky today, but amazing powder still out there.

The major Huck shot is from my buddy Joshua Plaque sending it at Squaw during the cycle.

Happy Holidays and turns to all...now to the east coast for some family time, 5 Phish shows, and hopefully a little skiing:)
