Someone stole a fixed line I recently placed at the sketchiest section near the top of the ascent ridge. I'm miffed because it's a lot safer booting with the rope to pull on than the other option: sidestep across a short but steep chute and then skin back across a steep, sketchy face over a cliffband.

The rope was there to protect that obviously dangerous spot but now it's in some jackasses closet. Hopefully he reads this and puts it back where he found it.

Whoever took the rope must have also set the moronic skin track zig-zagging across the steep, windloaded upper snowfield.

A few years ago I checked out the crown and debris pile of a MASSIVE slide that took out the whole upper snowfield of the Pyramid. You couldn't pay me to skin across that thing. It's comparable to skinning up the last hundred feet of Glory Bowl. Stuck to the ridge and booted the last little bit instead.

Phenomenal sugary pow in the shade. Anything that got sun had a sucker crust that skied poorly

Props for putting up a rope, lame for having it stolen. That area up there is scary.

I'm going to replace it with another old climbing rope. This time I'll leave a note explaining the obvious.
