went on an exploratory mission to see what kind of snow the rim is holding. The answer is zero. There isn't any base on the lower half, which really surprised me since it's north facing and pretty high in elevation. I expected it to be thin, but it seems like some snow troll stole the firm ice base we have elsewhere.The snow is much thinner than at Mt Bachelor or the Broken Top area.
