Highlights
Beautiful line deep in the Gore Range between Vail and Frisco.
Ascent
The climb up is long and arduous, starting right beside I70 and climbing Meadow Creek through endless alpine meadows eventually into a long valley on the east side of the mountain. It can be skinned to the summit, followed by skiing off the line on the north side and then ascending an 800 ft. pitch towards Red Buffalo Pass. From here, Eccles Pass is visible along with the route back into the Meadow Creek basin.
Descent
The couloir is steep at the pitch and looks rather intimidating, but is pretty enjoyable once skirting a few rocks and dropping into the line proper. The ski back out to the car is long and fun, but eventually it turns into a bit of a slog back out.
Access/Permits
Park at the Meadow Creek trailhead in Frisco
