Backcountry Skiing Journal From:

Darkstar: October 8, 2010 Uphill: 1,900 ft. | Downhill: 1,000 ft.

Had another decent day Thursday on Hawkins Peak, but the clouds kept me from really knowing where I was. However, I snapped a few shots of the backside of seldom skied Markleville Peak, got my partner fired up that night, and took off for the adventure Friday morning.

It's safe to say the "window" in Tahoe is done, but at least we got a few good turns, a nice hike, and had some fun.

Till the next ssystem...

It's good to see you've got snow this late in Tahoe.

There's definitely some doable stuff in the Tetons, but you've got more stoke up than me. Well done!

If we got something to bury the suncups it'd be worth a ski out here.
