Powdermonkey: December 20, 2010 Uphill: 2,300 ft. | Downhill: 2,300 ft.
A bunch of new snow but wet and heavy. It was raining a few hundred vertical feet below McClure Pass. Skiied really well up high although it was sticky, of course, down low. New stuff was bonding fairly well with the old layers but there were some funky, crazy sugars going on down low. Kept it safe in the low-angle trees and had a blast. A lot of natural avalanches going off in the high country with this latest snow hitting. It was snowing all day and blowing like crazy at the end of the day up high.
