6000 vertical feet, up to 50 degrees, can't get better than that! This is a Teton Classic. But not for your average backcountry skier, as this is a remote line that invovles glacier travel, axe and crampons, and lots of areas for snow to fall on you.

In winter start at Colter Bay at the Northern end of the park. You will have to drive around the park on route 191 and then reenter from the north. Skin west across the lake towards Moran. In late season you can hitch a rid on a boat or bushwhack. I recommend the boat. From Bearpaw Bat head north westish and that shoul lead you to the glacier. Climb up and watch out for the bergshrund. If it does not look passable you can climb to the south on a rock island to bypass it. Climb up the handle to the summit. Beware of rockfall. There tends to be a cornice that is usually manageable but some years it can be quite the obstacle making you ski from right below it.

Ski down what you climbed. The steepest parts are in the upper handle.
