Air and pow... what's not to love?
Rocky Mountain Underground's backcountry ski, the guyot (pronounced gio), weighs in as a hard charging yet forgiving powder ski set apart with it's huge 120 mm waist and an oh-so-comforting 18 cm early rise tip. Don't let the 32 meter turning radius scare you, these bad boys turn faster the softer the snow!
Do I get gnar points for this?
The camber underfoot keeps your edges engaged and the early rise tail gives you a surfboard feeling, without loosing control like many of the fully rockered options. Lighter than most of the competition and made in Denver, CO with American wood gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling before you even hit snow! Ideal for medium radius turns. A medium stiff flex that stays stiff through the camber and softens as you near the tip and tail, providing for a forgiving yet powerful ski.
The Bad
A bit chattery in super hard pack, but incredibly controllable given it's 146-120-136 dimensions. Waist feels a bit fat on groomers, but rightly so!

Thanks for the review. I was hoping to test these skis, however, RMU had such a good year that they were out of demos so I couldn't get on them. Maybe next season.
