 These are great midtweight ski touring pants:  warm, comfortable fit, many pockets, and flexible.  There are 52 super positive reviews on the Patagonia website, many from guides who wear these pants 150-200 days a year.  They are 92% polyester (half of which is recycled!) and eight percent spandex, with a DWR finish, two side pockets, two thigh pockets, and one back pocket.  The interior is brushed so it feels soft and warm in temperatures from 20-45 degrees F.   In warmer weather there is enough stretch in the legs that they can be rolled up to the knee.  The cuffs have zippers long enough to fit any ski boot well, and has snaps with two adjustment settings, as well as tie down loops.  The waistband has elastic to allow an inch or two of adjustability, and belt loops.  The fly is two way, nice when a harness or packstrap covers one end.  

The only wish might be for side zips, but those are provided in the Backcountry Guide pant, and it is considerably heavier, as are the side zip pants from other manufacturers.  Patagonia also provides a teriffic return and repair policy, and if the fit is not perfect, they offer a reasonably priced alteration service.  I've worn a variety of all around trekking, climbing, and backcountry skiing pants, and the Patagonia Alpine Guide is by far the most durable, comfortable, and flexible.  Price to value is excellent, please don't "improve" these pants!
