Wow. Facials on my fattest skis. Great coverage except for down at the very base of the mountain.

No signs of slides anywhere but with all the blowing and falling snow that doesn't mean much.

Looking at the JH Avalanche Event map, there's a lot going on. The Claw slid yesterday (skier triggered) and the day before a natural 2 footer broke loose on a N facing slope in Garnet Canyon. Also, a SE slope near Broken Branch on Four Pines slid skier triggered. Juding by the event map, JHMR Ski Patrol clearly had their work cut out for them with the last storm.

Skied SE, E, and NE today. Got some fun baby sluff running in a few little chutes. Stomped around on some really steep but short N and E facing slopes. Couldn't get anything to move.

Avy danger is certainly out there but we're in much better shape than the last few years where deep weaknesses persisted throughout the winter.
