Warpigsinfin: December 2, 2010 Uphill: 4,500 ft. | Downhill: 4,500 ft.

Double binding failure ~3000 ft from the valley floor. I didn't fall but both my heel pieces gave out within a few turns of each other. Sheared the metal at the base of the "tower" (OLD DYNAFIT BINDINGS) where it interfaces with the base plate. Fortunately I had on my fatty skis so I just had to lock the toe pieces and lean back a bit more than usual. Still, I took a funny fall or three.

Misty mountains down low. Powder wonderland up high. A great day. No signs of avalanche activity but there aren't many tracks up there either. With this new snow coming in, watch out for increasingly treacherous av conditions here in the Teton Range.

I imagine they'll have to bomb the shit out the resort tomorrow morning.

Yikes, I had one binding failure once in the park, had to duct tape my boot to the ski to get out. Glad you made it out alright.
