Seattleslider: November 12, 2010 Uphill: 3,900 ft. | Downhill: 3,900 ft.

Nice foot of settled fresh snow on a firm base at Chinook Pass. We and about 15 others skied 600-900' laps in the NE basin of Naches Peak. Only the boldest lines found rocks to stone grind the skis. Calm weather, blue skies, great company. One of the best November's ever and it's not even half finished yet!

Just below the point where the skier ends up, there is a flat track over to Chinook Pass where the cars are parked. The pass usually closes for the winter season around Thanksgiving. Get up here quick if you want to ski Naches Peak!

Sadly the word from WSDOT is that Cayuse and Chinook passes have just closed for the season. :(
