Day 50! Crap snow on S side Glory. Skied 1st Turn Gut in hopes that it would have been deep due to wind. Encountered 2-6" windblown in breakable, tracked up crud. Tracks down Glory Bowl looked appealing but could have been deceiving. N aspects are probably softer under the crust but not too much on account of a month of heavy skier traffic with very little snowfall. Storm expected this weekend and into next week should fix things up nicely. Warm in the valley with intermittent rain/snow mix in the TOJ. Had to take the dog for a ski cuz she was getting ornery after ~10 days without a trip. I've been heading to GTNP due to the month long snow drought so the dog could not tag along. Definitely happy to make some turns but we need a good foot of fresh to get things back in shape. This 4" of fresh up high appeared to be bonding well with the S aspects as it was coming in wet and heavy. Stoked to ski Sunday as I think we'll have enough by then. Looks to be snowing up high now.
