sorry I'm uploading this late, but wanted to share the report anyway. We were psyched on getting out of finals at Fort Lewis and headed for the foot of fresh snow awaiting us on Coalbank pass. We did a lap into deer creek from the summit and hitchiked back up to the car and lapped the gorgeous southeast faces that were still in sun. The powder was very buttery and fluffy and was set up quite nicely as well. No signs of real instibility, but could some bad layers could certainly be developing deeper down.
