More WOLF tracking today. Headed back to where we spotted one last time and sure enough we found plenty of signs. The Dog was bugging... all the hair on her back standing up and staying much closer to me than usual.See the photo of wolf hair we came across in the old skin track. It looks like he/she stopped to chew some snarls out of it's coat before commencing to stalk two moose.
The fresh snow on the skinner had fresh wolf tracks on it. Eventually we went our separate ways as I continued up the track and the wolf followed some moose track.
Interesting snow. South facing is sun and wind hammered. Anything exposed up high is wind hammered. The best snow I encountered was well protected N facing. It was also suprisingly good on the E face down low.
No signs of new slides. We need some more snow!
