Powdermonkey: January 1, 2011 Uphill: 1,800 ft. | Downhill: 3,000 ft.
Lots of wind effect but we found great, deep powder in the trees and at lower elevations. Slide in middle of Glory bowl with an approximate 24" crown about 80-100 feet wide. Looked like it may have been triggered by a ski cut because there were tracks going in and another separate set of tracks that was also cutting the bowl more center to skier's right. Didn't create a big debris pile but you could see some of the debris from the road just going over the last roll in the gully. Looked like it went morning of Jan. 1 as we found it at about 11. What went appeared to be this wind-loaded slab on top of the old crust which is fairly compact, also evidenced by some decent blocks in the debris pile.
