Backcountry Skiing Journal From:

Schneefrau: December 3, 2010 Uphill: 2,500 ft. | Downhill: 4,200 ft.

6-8 inches of champagne pow on top of a solid base which skied like Heaven this afternoon in the bowl & on the front side. A shimmering surface hoar layer gleamed in the sun as we lapped it up. Needless to say, it's pretty tracked out now. Temps. were 20 or so, little wind, sun and gorgeous clouds. Idiot snomos decided to take some good lines in the bowl while we were there. Either they were clueless about the closed boundary signs or they chewed it up intentionally despite our disgruntled gesticulations. I think it was the latter...don't see many rude snomos in C.O. thankfully. These guys must have been from "outta town." Didn't spoil our fun though.

Keep the Stoke Going!

Yeah, sucks. Reminded me of my Tahoe days when they would deliberately slash your lines in front of you and then laugh as they blew past you. Like I said, fortunately, MOST of my snomo encounters in OR have been quite courteous whether out in the bc or skating on the Wanoga side.
