Warpigsinfin: November 16, 2010 Uphill: 3 ft. | Downhill: 3 ft.
Nasty blizzard on the Pass. The parking lot is NOT plowed and only bigger 4WD will be able to power in and out of parking.We drove up, parked, hopped out "just to feel it", and bailed. Blizzard + 35-? mph winds + High Avy Danger + Rocky Conditions + Zero Viz = Go Home!
There was a big US GOV truck at the top lot with two nice sleds on a trailer. Two younger guys were trying to get them started. A rescue getting underway?! Probably.
So many things can go wrong on a day like today that it's just not worth it. Even the mellower stuff on the South Side of the Pass is getting crazy windloaded with this heavier new layer atop a foot of lighter fluff.
Not today... not worth it.
