More spur of the moment skiing as we headed down to California for some sun and surf. As we drove through Lassen National Park there was still some snow left to ski, and we actually skied top to bottom. The sun cups at the bottom were pretty big, but still manageable, and the highlight is definitely the gigantic green penis at the summit. If you ever wanted to ski a volcano, this has got to be as easy as it comes. Park at 8500 ft, follow the 4ft wide trail to the top (around 10,500) and click in. The south/southwest face looks to have a sick line going through some really cool volcanic rock, but it had no snow. The northeast face had huge runnels in them so the only real option was the south east face, and for July, it wasn't too shabby.
