We skied off the tram the first reasonably sunny day after the recent biblical downpour... it's been raining in Jackson for the last several weeks, but often snowing in the high peaks.

Though it had rained the night before and hadn't frozen too solid, we found good skiing in 4 Shadows and on Powder 8s. Coverage is phenomenal and the snow is smooth everywhere it hasn't wet slid thanks to minimal sun exposure.

I tried to outrun my wet "sluff" but turned a little too hard and got taken out... no harm aside from losing a pair of cheapo shades. It was a good reminder how quickly wet slides can grow in size and speed...

If you haven't skied off the Tram yet this summer, go get some. The snow won't be there much longer and the forecast looks pretty good for the upcoming week.

Tram runs from 9 to 5. They're not being too strict about pass pictures either, so if you don't have one, scrounge one and get up there.
