WYOMING | WIND RIVER RANGE | GLACIER TRAILHEAD NEAR DUBOIS

Warpigsinfin: April 17, 2010 Uphill: 1,000 ft. | Downhill: 1,000 ft.

Natural avalanche in NE facing chute at 12,000' goes off confirming instability we'd noticed lower . Serious wind loading in the area and it's heating up daily.

We slept in and rested after two hard days and have no real intent to risk anything given avy conditions and remote location. We set out exploring and fnid some sick couloirs, high mountain lakes, good granite with huge climbing potential (probably been climbed a bit but I know of no guidebook to the area).

A good lazy day in the high mountains.
