Had a pretty sizeable day out on Jakes today with 4 top to bottom 2400' laps. The winds that came in the previous day did leave their mark on the snowpack as just about everything showed some effect, even in the most protected areas of the trees. However, even with ski cuts and weight tests, we didn't get anything to move, which was a good thing as Jakes saw some major traffic yesterday.
The top half of the peak skied super fast and smooth, and you only got into trouble if you dug deep into the new snow. The bottom was a bit looser and skied amazingly well.
Great day out there, and looking at 1-2 feet by Monday. Looks like a lot of zones are getting the reset back to winter for April:)
