Warpigsinfin: April 3, 2010 Uphill: 3,000 ft. | Downhill: 3,000 ft.

We got a mega-alpine (2:30 pm) start and headed for Shadow. Very little traffic in the Park and any old skin tracks were pretty much blown in.

We caught shit from a know-it-all who proclaimed us "too late" to ski Shadow. Had a chuckle watching the sunset over Margs at Abuelito's 90 minutes after getting back to the car.

Wind blown pow from top to bottom... 6 inches in the valley, a foot blown onto the lake, a foot 1000 vert up, and at least two feet up top. Only hit bottom within the last 300' vert of descending.

It had been snowing all day but went blue for us as we approached the summit. Strong S wind down low and up high... nice and mellow in the trees on the E ridge flanks... sure beats hiking Glory in high winds.

I kicked off an 18-20 inch slide in a pocket of cliffy steeps within a mellow gladed slope...NNE aspect.. no biggy and intentional... at about 9000'. Slid 100' and stopped.

We didn't see any other avalanche activity in the area. Bummed I work a double t
