The Ides of March

The snotel site at Cascade #2 reported 9 inches in 24 hrs so we headed out for a powder day after 9 straight days of WFR. When we started skinning there was about 4 inches on a crust and that was pretty much how the whole skin went. However when we dropped in it got steep and deep quick. We skied down about 500 feet through some nice steep soft trees before getting to an open sunbaked NE facing slope. There was a few inches of fresh snow on top so it was still pretty good skiing. We got to the bottom and stopped for lunch out in a field to enjoy the sunshine. We only took one run that day because we had lots of work to catch up on before school the next day but it was a pleasnt break from non stop WFRing.

Keep the Stoke Going!
