After 10,000 miles we find ourselves back in Central Oregon skiing the beautiful cascades. Made it out to ski Three Finger Jack today before the 60 degree heat nukes everything tomorrow. A long tour that is more beautiful than good downhill skiing, but a good way to spend a Sunday. The coolest part about this tour is going through the burn areas at sunset.

Conditions were about a foot or more of new but rapidly warming snow making it heavy, but manageable. North facing aspects held better consolidated pow.

It was a scorcher and I some how did not bring any water. I ate a lot of snow. And then on the way out my skins fell out of my pack and had to back track about a half mile with no skins in mushy as snow. By the time a got back to the car I was super parched, but thankfully had 3 month old pbr fermenting in the trunk. Chugged two of those bad boys, drove home, and called it a day.
