Scratch my last trip report! The skiing in the Tetons is still good... and getting better.
We left Taggart Trailhead at 9 with big plans that fell through. At 11:30 we found ourselves atop Shadow looking at perfect sugary pow down the NNE facing Noose, so we skied that before sidestepping to the Tomahawk. Choke hairy but all good. Fun sugar pow in complete shade top to bottom, junk crust on most aspects above 8000 feet, and good corn on the S and E sunny faces below 8000 feet.
It was a bluebird morning with no apparent wind and slowly building clouds as the day went on. Warm enough to loosen up the corn. We didn't see any wet slide debris anywhere although many rockbands had pinwheels below them.
We saw a boot pack up the SE summit snowfield of the Grand Teton but no signs of a descent. The Sliver was untouched but didn't look like too much fun-- lots of sloppy sluffing looked to have occurred.
It's supposed to snow here but even if it doesn't the skiing is still goodRead more here: http://oilfreefun.com
