We were a little sketchy heading out to Balu Pass with all the warnings about high avalanche danger and sure enough when we headed out the snow was really warm and unsupportable. We came across some new slide debris from one of the smaller avalanche paths we would have to cross and decided to go have a beer instead. Beautiful day though with amazing mountains surrounding us in Rogers Pass.
