Best day ever! 16 inches of new fluffy goodness. Steep, Taos slackcountry. 6 runs of 100% fresh, untracked first tracks. Did I mention that these runs were steep, continuous and that I was the first one down? This way the type of day that we all dream about. The reason that I have never bothered to use my college education. I was literally choking on snow.
Great visibility, low crowds, friendly scene overall (especially for an in-bounds powder day!). One local even showed me where to go and waited for me at the bottom of the run! I couldn't believe how nice she was.
Only bummer of the day was that our new friend might have torn his ACL. :(
