Really amazing cream cheese snow. Fun exploring a new mountain range in Oregon that I've driven past a hundred times, and never even thought to stop. It's really fun getting to know places that I've been before with "backcountry skiing" eyes. Before I would only look at the aesthetic qualities of mountains- skiing was assessed at resorts. But now it's like everywhere I look is full of potential ski zones!
