Backcountry Skiing Journal From:

Skierbob: February 12, 2011 Uphill: 1,500 ft. | Downhill: 1,500 ft.

Another great morning outside of Centennial Wyoming, but this one following a major wind event that created an interesting wind slab. At the top of the ridge there was a nice 2 foot crown that slid about 200 feet and took out some trees. It appeared to have released naturally and began at a cornice. Otherwise the snow seemed quite stable. Hard ski cuts led to no fractures. The skiing was funk diggity but when I was back in Laramie before 12 what a great day.
