Blown in? Not quite. It's been snowing more a little north in GTNP and it shows. Tons of tracks feelable on all aspects and a nasty zippy crust just under the surface on sun-affected aspects.Until it snows another foot or two, don't bother with Glory. The Claw is probably decent. I say strap on some skins and head for the middle of nowhere unless they report 8+ overnight tonight.
Got to try the Dalbello Virus boot today. Very nice. Definitely skis more like an alpine boot than my Dynafit Zzeros. Also very comfortable during the ascent... and pretty LIGHT.
No signs of slides as there isn't too much sign of deep new snow. We skied the most likely windloaded section of Glory and it wasn't worth writing home about... but still fun.
Tomorrow would be a great day to ski mellow aspects in GTNP, but I'm stuck working. Fine by me as it looks to be a stormy one.
