AIARE Level 1 LIFT covers the same curriculum as our traditional Level 1. By using the ski lifts, we have quicker access to the higher alpine zone, viewing a variety of avalanche terrain. It's for skiers and snowboarders with lots of lift-served experience wanting to take a new look at better understanding the avalanche phenomena along with backcountry travel techniques.
Previous backcountry touring experience is not necessary. Please familiarize yourself with the following resources as they will help prepare you for the topics discussed in the course.
An AIARE Level 1 Certificate will be awarded upon completion.
