Highlights

Tons of skiable quality vert, and many challenging lines for the advanced backcountry skier.

Ascent

Park at the Coal Creek parking lot, head west and cross the creek by the road. Head into the woods where a skin/boot park should become evident. Ascend the forested slope eventually to the long spine of Taylor Mountain. Follow this ridge all the way to the summit. FYI most people will skin to the ridge and then bootpack the remainder. There are also lots of teaser summits on the final approach.

Descent

Choose your line off the wide East Face. Sometimes only a couple options exist due to cornices. There are little spine/ridge that come up from the east face, these are the safest to ski. Follow Coal Creek back to the parking lot.
