Highlights
A narrow not too steep couloir in the heart of the Tetons! This line lies on the Northern Face of Nez Perce. A great day is to ski this and the West Hourglass which is right next Door!
Ascent
In the winter park at the Taggart/Bradley Lake Trailhead. Head towards Bradley Lake and cross the lake or skirt around it and head west into Garnet Canyon. Stay on the southern side of the canyon as you follow the drainage into Garnet. Continue toward the lookers left side of the Middle Teton and as you approach the Meadows camping area at the fork in the canyon(at the base of the Middle), the Couloir will be to the south on the northern face of Nez Perce, and probably still hidden. However you should be able to see its neighbor, the West Hourlglass Couloir. Head up to the West Hourglass. The Eastern Hourglass will become visible as you get to the base of the West Hourglass. Bootpack/crampon up the couloir as high as you want. The Couloir itself offers about 1000 feet of skiing.
Descent
Follow your ascent path.
Access/Permits
You will need a national parks pass. In late spring or early season park at the Lupine Meadows Trailhead.
