Highlights

A moderate introduction to Teton skiing. The Cave is a great place to be in the "Middle" of the Park. A wide couloir that funnels into Garnet Canyon. This line can often be skied year round.

Ascent

In the winter park at Taggart/Bradley Lake trail head. Head north west and cross Bradley Lake heading west. Follow the drainage at the western side of the lake up into Garnet Canyon. The Cave will be staring back at you once you are in the canyon. You can either boot pack up the couloir, or skin up the South Fork and around. In late season when the road is open you can park at Lupine Meadows and follow the trail into Garnet.

Descent

Ski the Cave.

Access/Permits

National Park Permit.

Went up the south fork of garnet canyon. Cold but great snow. Not too filled in up there. Apron up to the west hour glass is really bare. About 3- 6inches of cold smoke on top of a firm yet soft base....[view]
