Highlights

Ascending to within 1600' of the top of the Grand Teton. Amazing views and 6000' of great skiing when the conditions are right. This is a great route for folks contemplating a descent of the Grand Teton who want to get a look at the lower sections of the most common descent routes.

Ascent

Skin up Garnet Canyon to the Meadows. Bootpack N from the Meadows to the Teepe Snowfield. An ice ax will come in handy for the ascent unless conditions are ideal. If there's any risk of icy or crusty snow, make sure to bring an ax.

Descent

Ski S/SE/E facing aspects back down your ascent route. There are several exposed spots throughout the descent where falling could be catastrophic.

Access/Permits

GTNP Park Pass.
