Highlights

A fun steep bowl that has many options. The best is to go to the notch that is all the way lookers left on the face. You can usually ski the face and then keep your momentum to get back on to the ridge that you came in on.

Ascent

From Route 138, park at the Mount Thielsen trail head. Follow the summer trail or get a topo map/gps to shortcut it when there is good snow cover. You will eventually gain a ridge that will take you to where you can see the Northwest Bowl. Ski down to below the notch on the furthest lookers left side of the bowl. Boot up the steep face.

Descent

Ski what you booted up.

Access/Permits

Mount Thieslen lies in wilderness.
