Highlights

The Diller headwall on Middle Sister is badass!! It is a steep ski descent that is best done in the spring so you know you won't hit any ice. Probably one of the most obtainable techy lines in Central Oregon. But be careful, glacier travel over crevasses on the descent, a long approach, and weather make skiing this line difficult.

Ascent

From Pole Creek Trailhead head southwest toward Middle Sister and camp/chambers lakes. If there is snow on the trail get a good map and gps because the trees are thick and it is really easy to get lost. Once you break through the trees, You can either ascend the Southeast Ridge or the Hayden Glacier route to the summit. Ascending the Southeast ridge will give you a good look at the line and a feel for what type of snow to expect.

Descent

Ski down the headwall as shown in the photo. BE careful not to get cliffed out or swept into a crevasse.
