Highlights

Simple access starting from the tombstone pass snow park. Its always nice to ski directly back to the car after a day of lapping. This is a lower elevation mtn. with a base elevation of 4200' so following mid winter storms will provide for best conditions.

Ascent

From the Tombstone pass snowpark, walk down hwy 20 to the east approximately .25 mile and you'll see a trailhead for Cone Mtn on the north side of the Hwy. Start your climb and not to soon after you'll come to an open low level bowl and be able to get a bead on the prize. Once in the saddle between Cone Mtn and Iron mtn you'll have the option to ski either mountain. Enjoy!

Descent

Skiing the East aspect will eventually lead you to the hwy. It does flatten out near the bottom, you may also encounter a few creeks depending on the time/type of season. Heading a little south will avoid some of the flat exit, monitor speed as i can see the hwy sneaking up rather quick.

Access/Permits

Oregon Snowpark permit.
