Highlights

A nice burned hill side offers backcountry skiers a nice continuous 1000 foot face to ski. Really the best ski option on Cache Peak with the best slope angle and continuous vert.

Ascent

At least two different ways to access Cache Mountain. Due to the long ascent and short skiable vert it is recommended to use a snowmobile. 1. Just west of Suttle Lake off of highway 20, turn left at first chance into the Corbett Snow Park. You can follow the snowmobile trail and take your first left up to the base and skin up. Or you can continue past the base and stay right at any junctions an will be lead up to the summit. If you have no machinery you can skin the snowmobile road, or shortcut by keeping Cache Mountain in your sights and cross a variety of terrain to save a couple 1/8's of a mile. 2. You can also park at Suttle Lake and take the long extended ridge up to the summit. It will save you about a little less than a mile. You will eventually hit the same snowmobile road and follow it up to the summit.

Descent

Ski the north faces that offer the best skiing.

Access/Permits

None. Get a snowmobile to make this one worthwhile, unless you are purely in it for the uphill.
