Great Skiing in the summit crater of Black Crater. Steep fun lines await on top of this gem. Many more options exist than shown in the photo.

Ascent

In winter and through early june, until they open up Mckenzie pass,You will need a snowmobile to access these routes. From sisters take route 242 as far as you can. Eventually there will be a gate. Snowmobile to the summer trailhead and start skinning uphill while angling slightly to the right. Eventually you will find your self at the crate and you can either skin around the rim top or ski down and then skin back up.

Access/Permits

Black Crater is in wilderness so if you do snowmobile in, don't veer off the road.
