Highlights

All of Avalanche Gulch makes for great skiing no matter how high you skin/climb. Great "mounds" along the way are great for some yo-yo ing before the long ski all the way to the snow park.

Ascent

Start at the Bunny Flat Trailhead (6,880'), and head up the trail 2 miles to Horse Camp (7,800'). Another mile after Horse Camp you hit the real mountain, and gain elevation more rapidly, eventually reaching Helen Lake at 10,443.

Descent

Long decent all the way back to the car if skied before June. Avy Gulch provides many options for all experience levels.

Access/Permits

Snow Park permits required.

Today was an exceptionally awesome day on the Moutain! The winds were calm with an occasional gust or two. The snow was nice and soft and the sun was out in full effect....[view]
