Beat Summer Heat by Skiing with Deet | UNITED STATES, OREGON | 07/21/2009, by powderjunky
The last month has been interesting, hiking 12 miles for 900 feet of skiing, getting lost and making a snow park on melting patches of forested snow, and ditching the snow all together for sand.
Still, the stoke goes on here and the high country is still the best place to get away from it all. Enjoy the video!
Skiing in the summer in the Three Sisters Wilderness and the Oregon Sand Dunes.

Hiking in flipflops is the best. Looks like great turns on the snow, I don't know about the sand...

My goal is to climb as any mountains in flops as possible, My two most impressive so far are Mount Hood to about 10,000 ft and the Grand Teton up to the Lower Saddle :)
The sand hurts your face a lot more when its windy...
