Those handwarmers are great! I always take two pair of gloves - one for skinning up and one for skiing down. Unfortunately on some days, usually the cold, snowy ones, my thin uphill gloves get wet. When I transition to my downhill gloves they invariably get cold. On long days or extended trips, I've used the warmers to help keep the gloves warm and dry them out.
