The Central Idaho Recreation Coalition (CIRC) will hold a Backcountry Film Festival at the McCall  Little Ski Hill west of McCall on hwy 55,  December 6th at 7pm.  Tickets will sell for $10.  The Festival will be a fundraiser for CIRC, with the support of Winter Wildlands Alliance, as CIRC grows in its role as the premiere organization promoting human powered recreation in central western Idaho.  The Festival will present three films, Handcut, My Own Two Feet, and Ride It Out, all of them ripping tales of wide-eyed winter in Idaho’s wild backcountry.

Come at 6pm for a Dutch oven dinner for $10 and purchase raffle tickets for a buck and beer for $4 per glass.

“Beat that if you can,” Jeff Halligan said.  ”Come stretch your ski legs and prepare for the upcoming season,” Jeff Halligan said.  “It’s gonna be a wacky show for a wicked snow season.”   Halligan also promoted the Central Idaho Recreation Coalition, adding that the organization has a new mission statement.  The organization will advocate conservation of public lands in central Idaho by facilitating collaboration, engaging volunteers, and promoting human powered recreational opportunities, he said.  CIRC also intends to protect lands for wildlife, solitude, conservation, wildness, and the productivity of land.

Tickets can be purchased at Mud Creek Outdoor Gear in New Meadows, Gravity Sports and Common Ground Café in McCall, and Gear and Grind in Donnelly or at the door.  For more information please call Gravity Sports at 634-8530 or Gear and Grind at 325-8191.
