The last week has brought more snow and wind to the Teton Valley. These factors have forced most of us to stick to skiing more moderate terrain than we may like. But who can complain when every day is a powder day!Skiing video for the week on February 3-9, 2008
Friday was another blustery day that shut down many roads and canceled the Banff Film Festival for the evening. The weekend brought higher temps, up to the mid 40's down low, and turned town into a brown puddle of mush. Thankfully there was quite a bit of cloud cover so the snow on the sunny aspects isn't completely ruined. Although definitely crusty in spots.
On Sunday I ran into three folks hiking up the Glory boot pack with no backpacks or avy gear. I gave them a friendly explanation on why they should turn around, who knows if they listened or not.
