Ski Dreaming | UNITED STATES, WYOMING | 02/03/2008, by HotChocolate
Every run that I skied this weekend was the "best run of my life". It was beautiful. Last week I felt like a slug- work forced me to take 2 days off skiing. And the day that we got 15 inches, of course I had a mid-day meeting. But the last 48 hours have more than made up for anything that I missed out on. My body is exhausted, my soul satiated, and I know that I'll get to re-live the turns in my dreams tonight.Ski video highlights from Superbowl Weekend!
When I was younger, I used to dream that I was skiing completely out of control. It was nightmarish- I would wake up just as I was about to hit a tree or accidentally go off a cliff. Luckily, as my actual skiing improved, so did my ski dreams. These days I look forward to closing my eyes at night and experiencing all the joys of a good powder day while warm under the covers.
The best is when I am blessed with a ski dream mid-summer. Out of the blue, my subconscious will drum up some winter action. It really helps me to get through the warm months. You know, the months that you have to hike back down the mountain instead of strap a couple planks and slide back to the car. Did I mention how much I hate having to hike back down the mountain?
Anyhow, this weekend was so deep, so sugary, so fun, so perfect. I hear that the snow is falling pretty much everywhere this year, so hopefully you too will have ski dreams tonight.
That's Our Opinion. What's Yours?
