*This pack is made for women- light, tight, and smart.
I mostly appreciate the small size yet extreme function of this pack. As a backcountry skier I can pack my shovel, probe, down jacket, extra goggles, gloves, snacks and water without feeling like I have compromised my performance because of a bulky ill-fitting pack on my back.
*A well placed belt for women.
With men's packs, I've found them to be extremely uncomfortable riding down my hips making the pack rest on my shoulders. This hip belt keeps this pack sitting snug on my back.
*Ample pockets for all your goods.
My two favorites are the front pouch I use for my skins, keeping my other gear dry and glue free, and the soft inside goggle specific pouch that keeps my lens scratch and moisture free. Oops I guess I have a third- the side access pocket that allows you to get to gear without messing with your skis.
*Insulated hose and bladder pouch.
I’ve skied the the coldest days this winter and was freeze free.
*Great zipper pulls and color contrast
Make it easy to open pockets in a hurry and zip up to get going.
THE BAD
Although the hip belt is perfect for situating the pack on your back snugly, the hip pocket is too small. You can just about fit chapstick and a Gu, but if you hoping to use it for easy digital camera access you better have a super small camera.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
I love this pack. It has been designed with a women’s shape in mind and the accents to boot. It's much lighter and smaller than my previous pack with no compromise of functionality. It has all the right pockets and space in all the right places and holds gear for a quick lap or a full-on day in the backcountry.
